CPCF II Release Outcomes
CPCF II is a parish women's correctional facility operated by the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office. CPSO identifies Elizabeth Atkins as warden. Leaving its roster can mean bond, a court-directed release, dismissal, time served, completion of a parish sentence, probation, or another community outcome. It can also mean movement to the transitional work program at the same Highway 84 address, transfer to CPCF, transfer to Louisiana DPS&C, pickup on another warrant, federal transfer, or immigration custody.
Address overlap makes the destination field especially important. The state lists the Concordia Parish Transitional Work Program at 5223 Highway 84 West, while CPSO lists CPCF II at 5223 Highway 84. A person assigned to transitional work remains in correctional custody or a structured correctional program. The move is not final discharge merely because the program permits work activity outside a secure unit.
Ask which facility or program made the entry and whether the event was an actual community exit. If another agency received the person, record its name and follow that system. A local release sheet proves physical movement; a court disposition explains the legal action; a receiving-agency result shows whether custody continued.
Verify a CPCF II Release
Use exact identifiers rather than a name alone. Full legal name, date of birth, booking number, arrest date, and the last date known at CPCF II help staff locate the correct record. The goal is not merely to hear that a person is “gone.” Ask for the actual date and time, recorded release type, and destination or receiving agency when that field is public.
- Call the women's facility using both published official numbers if needed, then use the CPSO main office when the conflict prevents routing.
- Ask whether the person was released to the community, moved to the transitional work program, transferred within CPSO, or delivered to another agency.
- Request the existing release or transfer entry and its event date, time, type, authority, and receiving agency.
- Check Louisiana LAVNS if DPS&C, parole, probation, or another participating Louisiana agency is involved.
- Review the Seventh Judicial District case record for bond, dismissal, sentence, credit for time served, probation, commitment, or another public disposition.
The Concordia Parish release search provides the full branch for a named person when the next custodian is unclear. Do not keep searching a current CPCF II roster after a confirmed transfer. Use the system that received the person.
CPCF II Contact Conflict
Two official CPSO pages publish different telephone numbers for the same women's facility. The Corrections page lists 318-336-2865. The Contact page lists 318-336-2881. Neither source reviewed for the research announces that one number replaced the other. Preserve both, note which page supplied each number, and use the CPSO main office at 318-336-5231 to resolve routing before travel.

Official disagreement should not be hidden by selecting one number. A caller can state that both appear on current CPSO materials and ask the main office which line reaches release records. No public release-processing hours, records-office hours, copy rate, fulfillment time, dedicated form, release exit point, or property-return schedule was located. Do not apply the Jail Info lobby kiosk hours to records or release processing.
The official CPSO contact page is one source for the facility listing and main-office fallback. Keep a note of the page and access date when resolving the phone conflict, especially if staff later confirms a correction.
When a call reaches the wrong line, ask for the office that maintains booking and movement entries rather than relying on an informal status statement. Record which official number answered and the date. That approach preserves the source conflict while moving the request toward the proper custodian.
CPCF II Release Requests
A focused public-record request should seek existing material. Identify the woman's full name, date of birth or booking number, approximate booking and release period, and CPCF II as the location. Ask for the booking summary, actual release or transfer date and time, recorded type or authority, releasing facility, receiving agency when recorded and public, and the booking image in its existing electronic format. Request an itemized estimate before costs are incurred.
| Record item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Identity and booking number | Distinguishes the correct person and custody episode. |
| Admission and exit timestamps | Defines the CPCF II custody period. |
| Release type or authority | Separates bond, court action, time served, sentence completion, and transfer. |
| Releasing location | Clarifies whether CPCF II or another shared-address program made the entry. |
| Receiving agency | Shows whether custody continued in another system. |
| Charge and bond fields | Describe booking context but do not replace the final court disposition. |
Louisiana law permits exemptions and redactions. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, medical, victim-confidential, investigative, and security-related information can be protected. Ask the custodian to state the legal ground for any withholding. A release record does not establish guilt or acquittal, while a court order does not always prove the moment physical processing ended.
Note: Ask for electronic delivery and a fee estimate because CPSO publishes no dedicated local fee schedule or response timetable for these records.
CPCF II Transfer Checks
Louisiana LAVNS is the official public person-search path tied to DPS&C. Search by exact name or identifier, compare identity fields, then read the reported custody status, location, scheduled release date, parole eligibility, or community-supervision field when supplied. DPS&C says its information is updated every 24 hours, so a new transfer may take time to appear. A projected date is not proof of actual release.
If the person entered state custody, the DPS&C telephone locator at 225-383-4580 accepts a DPS&C number or name plus date of birth. It can report custody location, facility contact, assigned probation and parole district, and a projected release date if applicable. For historical proof, request incarceration verification. Under the state's administrative definition, that record can include admission, release and supervision dates, plus the last incarceration location.
Recently received sentencing papers may take time to enter the state system. If CPCF II confirms a DPS&C transfer but LAVNS has no match, keep the parish transfer date and retry with exact identifiers. The two agencies record different parts of the same chain, so their dates should not be treated as interchangeable.
A federal receiving agency requires another branch. BOP covers sentenced federal prisoners and can display a release date or “Not in BOP Custody,” while USMS can handle pretrial movement without a comparable public release locator. ICE ODLS covers current ICE custody and persons reported released from ICE custody during a limited recent period. None of those results proves that all other custody or supervision ended.
CPCF II Shared Address
The shared Highway 84 address is a defining local detail. DPS&C lists a transitional work program there, and CPSO lists the women's correctional facility there. That evidence supports a relationship between the program and location, not an assumption that every label describes a separate stand-alone jail building. Ask staff which legal custodian held the person and which unit produced the release or movement record.
The DPS&C Concordia Parish directory documents local correctional entries relevant to that question.
The directory capture can help identify the official agency route. It remains a facility directory, not a current roster or a release record for a named person.
- Transfer
- A move between custodians or locations. It is not community release.
- Transitional work
- A structured correctional placement that can include work activity while custody continues.
- Discharge
- The recorded end of a stated custody or supervision obligation.
- Release entry
- The facility record of an actual exit or transfer event.
CPCF II Roster Limits
No official rolling 24-hour or 72-hour Concordia release list was located. The reviewed CPSO pages also do not state how long a released person remains visible, whether roster data updates on a set cadence, or whether released entries include photographs. A dated third-party current-roster archive can show that a name was visible at one time. Its later absence supplies a date interval for a request, not a release reason.
Several events can remove a name from view: transfer to CPCF or transitional work, DPS&C intake, pickup on a hold, spelling correction, duplicate consolidation, escape, death, or community release. Ask CPSO which one the source record states. When LAVNS reports “released” without a reason, contact the participating agency and request the coded event and actual timestamp.
It settles the legal action it records. CPCF II still supplies the proof of physical exit and any receiving hold or transfer.
Note: Preserve both official phone citations and the observed dates whenever CPCF II contact information is used in a release request.
